Head of Sales

Full-time - Heerhugowaard, Noord-Holland

Your role

As Head of Sales, you will provide direction for Richmond s commercial direction and translate our growth strategy into concrete results. You are responsible for managing the sales and dealer support team and you are the direct contact for our (inter)national account managers and agent network. You also work closely with the board, the management team and the marketing department to achieve commercial successes. You combine strategic insight with a hands-on approach and know how to motivate people to get the best out of themselves.

What will you do?

  • Co-determine and execute the commercial direction of the organization and adjust when necessary;
  • Establish and execute sales strategies and plans in line with business strategy;
  • Track market trends and translate them into opportunities and strategies;
  • Analyze sales results and report to management;
  • Expand international agent network;
  • Direct, motivate and coach the sales and dealer support team and international agents;
  • Preparation of annual and quarterly objectives in cooperation with international agents;
  • Optimize cooperation between commercial and operational departments;
  • Coordinate commercial events such as trade shows and open days.

What do you bring?

  • Minimum HBO working and thinking level (commercial direction);
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a managerial sales position;
  • Knowledge of and experience in the furniture industry is a plus;
  • Strong communication skills and persuasiveness;
  • Strategic insight and hands-on mentality;
  • Analytical ability and results orientation;
  • Team player with a connecting and motivating attitude;
  • Preferably living within 30-45 minutes travel time from Heerhugowaard.
