Purchasing Manager (m/f)

Full-time, 40 hours per week - Heerhugowaard, North Holland

As Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing policies. You ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials and products and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and continuity of supplies. In addition, you work on various process optimizations and savings.

What will you do (a selection):

  • Develop and implement a strategic procurement policy consistent with business objectives;
  • Maintain network of suppliers and partners;
  • Conduct negotiations on prices, contracts and terms of delivery;
  • Manage inventory levels and optimize inventory management processes;
  • Collaborate with other departments such as logistics and sales to understand and fulfill purchasing needs;
  • Managing and coaching the procurement team;
  • Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, guidelines and laws and regulations.

The purchasing team consists of two purchasing employees and 2 product managers. As Purchasing Manager you are a cooperating foreman/woman: you give direction, provide connection, coach the team and actively participate in supplier management yourself. You report directly to the management.

What do you bring:

  • HBO/WO working and thinking level;
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement management within dynamic organizations;
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Current knowledge of the procurement field;
  • (Beginning) experience leading a team;
  • You preferably live in Heerhugowaard or the surrounding area.
